Credai holds interactive session on GST in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Credai Visakhapatnam chapter conducted an interactive session on GST where various issues connected with it especially for the builders and its implication came up for a thorough discussion.

Principal Additional Director General, Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) MRR Reddy delivered an enlightening lecture on various issues connected with the GST.

“GST is both complex and dynamic,” he asserted and welcomed the idea of joint meetings with the trade and the department for better implementation of the GST provisions. It will lead to ease of doing business to the builder and better compliance of the GST,” he said.

The lecture was followed by an interactive session with builders and some senior CAs from the audit wing in the city. Reddy listened to the views expressed at the meeting and said that some points raised by members are connected with the policy issues. They will be referred to the concerned, he promised.

President of Credai Visakhapatnam chapter V Dharmender, who moderated the proceedings, thanked the Principal ADG for attending the meeting and suggested more such meetings to help builders and improve revenue through GST.

Later Additional Commissioner of GVMC V Sanyasi Rao spoke on the Eco-Vizag program and said that it consisted of four pillars viz., eco plan and green, eco blue, zero pollution and zero plastic use.
